Framing Tips

  • Never hang your framed item in direct sunlight unless you have conservation glass. Conservation glass will help your special item from fading.

  • Never cut the newspaper article, or magazine article, you are framing from the newspaper or magazine. Please bring in the whole item, and we will take care of that for you.

  • When deciding if you want regular glass or non-glare glass, you need to think of the room. If you are looking at the picture directly, then non-glare glass will be good in a sunny room. If you are looking at the picture from the side (like going down a hallway), then regular glass will be best. Non-glare glass is frosted, and will appear cloudy from a side view.

  • Always iron your needlework before bringing it to The Perfect Angle. Our stretching procedure is superb, but it will not take out all wrinkles. After you have ironed it, then hang it on a hanger with safety pins, or roll it around an empty paper towel tube.

  • Measure the space you want to hang your framed item before coming into The Perfect Angle, so we can help you make your item fit the best way possible.

  • Never put your Certificate of Authenticity with your framed item. You shoud keep that in a safe or safety deposit box in case it's needed for insurance purposes.

  • Custom framing can take up to 2 weeks (depending on the distributor), and therefore if you need an item framed fast, please let your sales associate know right away. This way, they can show you which frames to look at, so we can happily meet your deadline.
